Vietnam imported US$114.23 million worth of milk and milk products in March, down 6.64 percent from February, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This brought the total value for the first quarter to US$340.44 million.
New Zealand remained Vietnam’s leading supplier with US$40.55 million in March, although this was down 10.45 percent from February. Imports from Australia dropped sharply by 55.94 percent to US$7.23 million. Ireland posted a 23.63 percent rise to US$8.66 million, while imports from the Netherlands and Japan surged by 63.88 percent and 46.08 percent respectively. Belgium and Switzerland also saw notable increases. By contrast, the USA, Germany, and France all recorded modest declines.
