Vietnam’s exports of machinery, equipment, tools, and instruments grew in October, with export value reaching US$5.24 billion. This marks a 4.7 percent increase compared to September, which recorded US$5.01 billion, highlighting steady demand for Vietnamese-manufactured machinery and tools, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Year-to-date figures reveal even stronger growth. From January to October, exports in this category totalled US$43.05 billion, representing a 21.5 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023.
The robust year-to-date growth underscores Vietnam’s expanding presence in the global machinery market, driven by competitive pricing, improved manufacturing capabilities, and diversified export destinations. October’s performance reinforces the sector’s critical role in the country’s export economy and its potential for sustained growth in the coming years.
