Vietnam’s liquefied petroleum gas production declines by 6.2% in February 2025

Vietnam’s Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) production has seen a slight decline in the first two months of 2025. According to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Office of Statistics, the country produced 71,000 tons of LPG in January 2025. In February, this figure decreased to 62,600 tons.

The cumulative total for the first two months of the year reached 133,600 tons. This represents a 6.2 percent decrease compared to the same period last year. Furthermore, the year-to-date figure reflects a 7.9 percent decrease when compared to the first two months of 2024, indicating a slight downturn in production.

Vietnam’s LPG production primarily takes place in the southern region, with major production facilities located in areas such as Ba Ria-Vung Tau and nearby offshore reserves. These facilities continue to focus on meeting domestic demand while also exploring opportunities for export growth.
