Vietnam’s iron and steel imports decline by 12.67 percent in March

Vietnam’s iron and steel imports totalled US$910.90 million in March, representing a 12.67 percent decrease from February. Year-to-date (YTD) imports reached US$2.65 billion, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

China remained the largest supplier, contributing US$462.57 million, a 21.66 percent drop compared to the previous month. Indonesia saw an increase of 12.02 percent to US$145.94 million. South Korea and Japan experienced modest declines in imports, with South Korea’s imports remaining nearly unchanged at US$103.39 million and Japan’s decreasing by 16.65 percent to US$123.12 million.
