Vietnam’s imports of insecticides, rodenticides, and related materials rose by 19.06 percent month-on-month in February, reaching US$77.88 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This follows January’s total of US$65.42 million, bringing year-to-date imports to US$143.67 million.
China remained the largest supplier, accounting for 38.06 percent of total imports at US$29.65 million, though this marked a 6.80 percent decrease from the previous month. India followed with US$9.46 million, down 19.61 percent. Meanwhile, Singapore saw the most significant growth, surging by 215.38 percent to US$9.30 million. South Korea also recorded strong growth, increasing by 65.22 percent to US$8.26 million.
Other notable increases included imports from Japan, which rose by 200.19 percent to US$3.23 million, Malaysia with a 298.18 percent jump, and Indonesia with a 100.66 percent increase. The USA also saw a sharp rise of 161.21 percent to US$1.20 million.
