Vietnam imported US$195.27 million worth of still image, video cameras, and parts thereof in December 2024, reflecting a 9.66 percent increase compared to November, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Year-to-date imports reached US$2.21 billion.
China remained the largest supplier, contributing US$104.49 million, a 3.41 percent increase from the previous month. Taiwan followed with US$48.46 million, growing by 5.63 percent. Imports from Japan and the USA showed notable increases of 14.23 percent and 3.26 percent, respectively.
Conversely, imports from South Korea and the UK declined by 12.02 percent and 59.02 percent, respectively. The “Other” category recorded significant growth, surging by 84.47 percent to US$22.65 million.
