Vietnam’s imports of paper products decreased by 28.52 percent month-on-month in January, reaching US$75.05 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This follows a decline from US$105 million recorded in December.
Year-to-date, Vietnam’s total imports of paper products stood at US$75.05 million. China remained the largest supplier, contributing US$57.16 million, or 76.2 percent of the total, followed by South Korea with US$4.06 million and Thailand with US$3.68 million.
Among major suppliers, Hong Kong recorded the highest month-on-month growth, increasing by 1.81 percent. In contrast, Singapore saw the sharpest decline, with imports falling 68.26 percent. Other key suppliers such as Malaysia, Taiwan, and Indonesia also experienced significant drops of 47.72 percent, 46.47 percent, and 45.21 percent, respectively.
