Vietnam’s imports of ores and other mineral products rise by 5.87 percent in December
Vietnam imported US$234 million worth of ores and other mineral products in December 2024, reflecting a 5.87 percent increase compared to November, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Year-to-date imports reached US$2.85 billion.
Australia remained the largest supplier, contributing US$88.85 million, though this marked a slight decrease of 1.66 percent month-on-month. Brazil followed with US$58.17 million, a marginal increase of 0.59 percent. Imports from China surged by 28.27 percent to US$10.73 million.
Notable growth was recorded from Turkey and Myanmar, with imports soaring by 260.16 percent and 1,017.96 percent, respectively. In contrast, imports from Thailand and Laos fell by 22.23 percent and 23.55 percent, respectively.
