Vietnam’s imports of motor vehicle parts rose nearly 17 percent in March

Vietnam imported US$480.83 million worth of parts and accessories of motor vehicles in March, up 16.78 percent from February, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. The year-to-date import value stood at US$1.27 billion.

China was the largest supplier with shipments rising over 42 percent month-on-month to US$178.75 million, accounting for nearly 36 percent of the total. Imports from India also surged by 62.77 percent, reaching US$33.84 million. Germany and Russia posted triple-digit growth. Meanwhile, shipments from Japan and the USA declined 15.48 percent and 42.55 percent respectively.
