Vietnam’s imports of milk and milk products decline by 2.82 percent in December

Vietnam imported US$99.23 million worth of milk and milk products in December 2024, reflecting a 2.82 percent decline compared to November, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Year-to-date imports amounted to US$1.13 billion.

New Zealand remained the largest supplier, contributing US$30.05 million, a 16.19 percent increase from November. Australia showed the highest month-on-month growth, surging by 59.29 percent to US$14.93 million. Imports from the USA and Malaysia also saw increases of 4.08 percent and 7.30 percent, respectively.

Conversely, significant declines were recorded for imports from France, Japan, and Germany, which fell by 36.86 percent, 27.90 percent, and 14.29 percent, respectively. The “Other” category also decreased sharply by 34.76 percent.
