Vietnam’s imports of computers and electronic products decline in November

Vietnam’s imports of computers, electrical products, spare parts, and components totalled US$9.26 billion in November, a slight decrease of 1.6 percent compared to October, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Year-to-date imports in this category amounted to US$97.73 billion.

China was the largest supplier, with imports growing by 6.77 percent to US$2.97 billion. South Korea followed, contributing US$2.82 billion but reflecting a decline of 2.69 percent month-on-month. Taiwan saw imports decrease by 5.35 percent to US$1.26 billion.

Japan experienced the most significant drop, with imports falling by 26.45 percent to US$368.27 million. The USA also declined, with imports down 14.19 percent to US$355.57 million. Conversely, Israel showed strong growth, with imports increasing by 11.84 percent to US$246.22 million, while imports from Malaysia decreased slightly by 1.69 percent to US$233.22 million.

The marginal decline in total imports highlights steady demand for electronic components, with notable increases from key suppliers like China and Israel offset by declines from other major partners.
