Vietnam’s imports from the United States grow 1.77 percent in November

Vietnam’s imports from the United States reached US$1.27 billion in November, reflecting a month-on-month increase of 1.77 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

On a year-to-date basis, total imports from the US amounted to US$13.56 billion.

Key imported goods included:

  • Computers, electrical products, spare parts and components at US$355.57 million, down 14.19 percent from October.
  • Other products recorded US$122.39 million, declining by 13.74 percent.
  • Machine, equipment, tools and instruments saw a slight increase of 5.34 percent, reaching US$96.87 million.
  • Fruits and vegetables saw significant growth, up 180.75 percent to US$85.10 million.
  • Animal fodders and fodder materials surged by 98.60 percent, totaling US$84.13 million.

Other notable categories were soya beans, plastics, and chemicals, all contributing to the import volume.

Vietnam’s trade with the United States continues to exhibit growth, particularly in agricultural products and machinery, highlighting strengthened bilateral economic ties.
