Vietnam’s production of household electrical appliances increased by 1.1 percent in December 2024 compared to November 2024, according to Vietnam’s Industrial Production Index.
Year-on-year, the sector achieved significant growth of 19.9 percent in December 2024 compared to December 2023. Over the full year, cumulative growth reached 10.9 percent in 2024 compared to 2023, reflecting a strong annual performance.
The monthly increase highlights stable production activity during the year-end holiday season, which typically sees a rise in consumer demand for household appliances. The impressive year-on-year and annual growth are driven by rising domestic consumption and robust export demand for products such as refrigerators, air conditioners, and washing machines.
Vietnam’s household electrical appliance industry benefits from foreign investments, technological advancements, and a competitive workforce, positioning the country as a key manufacturing hub in Asia. With growing interest in energy-efficient appliances, the sector is expected to continue its upward trajectory in the global market.
