Vietnam’s exports of handbags, purses, suitcases, headgear, and umbrellas increased by 7.03 percent in December compared to November, reaching US$416.08 million, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Vietnam’s exports of these products total US$4.25 billion for 2024.
The rise in exports was driven by significant growth in shipments to Japan, which saw a 20.01 percent increase, amounting to US$43.31 million. Exports to the USA and Germany also showed positive growth, increasing by 4.99 percent and 32.80 percent, respectively.
However, some markets experienced a decline. Exports to China, Canada, and Belgium dropped by 9.23 percent, 10.01 percent, and 15.76 percent, respectively.
