Vietnam imported US$120.06 million worth of glass and glassware in December 2024, reflecting a 14.37 percent increase compared to November, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Year-to-date imports reached US$1.50 billion.
China led as the largest supplier, contributing US$75.09 million, a 13.36 percent increase compared to November. Malaysia and Indonesia posted remarkable growth, with imports rising by 40.82 percent and 159.56 percent, respectively. Imports from Thailand and the USA also showed strong growth, increasing by 37.85 percent and 78.88 percent, respectively.
Conversely, imports from Japan and South Korea declined by 31.04 percent and 10.72 percent, respectively. Austria recorded a marginal decrease of 1.19 percent. Other suppliers collectively saw a rise of 21.81 percent.
