Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable imports fall 30.89 percent in February 2025

Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable imports dropped by 30.89 percent month-on-month in February, amounting to US$165.80 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This follows a total of US$239.91 million in January, bringing year-to-date imports to US$405.62 million.

China remained the largest supplier despite a 27.94 percent decline, with shipments totalling US$63.60 million, accounting for 38.36 percent of total imports. Imports from the USA fell sharply by 47.85 percent to US$37.59 million, while Australia recorded a 31.29 percent drop, reaching US$8.87 million. Imports from Chile and South Africa also saw steep declines, decreasing by 50.58 percent and 51.05 percent, respectively.

Conversely, Cambodia and India saw modest increases of 29.73 percent and 8.24 percent, respectively. Imports from Israel surged by 251.82 percent to US$268,331, while Malaysia recorded a 43.70 percent increase.
