Vietnam’s fertilizer imports decline 1.83 percent in February 2025

Vietnam’s fertilizer imports saw a slight decrease of 1.83 percent month-on-month in February, reaching US$141.20 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This follows January’s total of US$143.83 million, bringing year-to-date imports to US$286.39 million.

China remained the largest supplier, with imports rising by 51.87 percent to US$51.96 million, accounting for 36.80 percent of the total. Other significant contributors included Canada, which recorded US$12.73 million in shipments, and Laos, which saw a 129.25 percent increase to US$9.60 million. Israel also recorded a sharp increase, surging by 5,569.28 percent to US$8.60 million.

Meanwhile, imports from Russia declined by 91.61 percent, while Malaysia, South Korea, and Norway all saw declines of over 30 percent. Imports from Belarus dropped to zero in February.
