Vietnam’s exports of tyre cord fabrics rise 7.84 percent in January

Vietnam’s exports of tyre cord fabrics and other fabrics for technical uses increased by 7.84 percent month-on-month to US$60.62 million in January, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

The USA was the top importer, accounting for 24.26 percent of total exports, with shipments rising 36.27 percent to US$14.71 million. South Korea followed with US$8.24 million, up 19.94 percent, while exports to Japan declined by 8.41 percent to US$4.29 million.

Among European markets, Luxembourg recorded a strong increase of 49.39 percent to US$1.97 million, while Hungary saw the highest growth rate at 121.54 percent, reaching US$1.63 million. Meanwhile, Thailand imported US$3.32 million, down 10.11 percent, and Canada saw a slight decrease of 5.80 percent to US$1.13 million.

Despite the overall increase, Argentina saw the largest decline, with imports dropping by 81.47 percent to just US$98,357.
