Vietnam’s exports of toys and sports requisites surged by 27.55 percent month-on-month to US$401.81 million in January, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
The USA remained the dominant market, accounting for 66.15 percent of total exports. Shipments to the country jumped 60.85 percent to US$265.79 million. Meanwhile, exports to Japan declined by 13.42 percent to US$37.71 million, while the UK saw a marginal increase of 0.32 percent to US$15.06 million.
Several European markets showed mixed performance. While Italy recorded a sharp rise of 65.64 percent to US$2.78 million, France and Germany experienced declines of 26.29 percent and 23.24 percent, respectively. Sweden saw the largest percentage increase, with imports surging 166.18 percent to US$1.42 million.
Exports to China fell by 37.84 percent to US$8.44 million, while shipments to Hong Kong dropped by 43.57 percent to US$2.39 million. Conversely, Russia recorded an increase of 37.99 percent to US$1.20 million.
