UK tourist arrivals in Vietnam rise in January

Vietnam welcomed 33,435 tourists from the UK in January, making up 1.6 percent of total international arrivals, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism. This represents a 25.6 percent increase from December and a 13.8 percent rise year-on-year.

UK-based hotel chains have been expanding their presence in Vietnam in response to the growing tourism and business travel between the two countries. As Vietnam becomes an increasingly popular destination for international tourists and business professionals, British hotel brands have capitalised on the demand for high-quality accommodations, catering to both leisure and corporate travelers.

Notable UK hotel brands such as InterContinental Hotels, Holiday Inn, and Radisson Blu have established properties in major Vietnamese cities like Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang. These hotels are known for their high standards of service, offering amenities that appeal to both international tourists and business guests. Many of these properties feature modern designs, business-friendly services, and a range of dining options, including both international and local cuisine, which are popular among visitors.

The growing presence of UK hotels in Vietnam is also driven by the increasing number of British tourists visiting the country. Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and affordability make it an attractive destination for UK travelers. Additionally, with the rising number of UK companies investing in Vietnam, the demand for business-focused accommodations has contributed to the expansion of British hotel brands in the Vietnamese market.

As the tourism industry in Vietnam continues to develop and the business environment grows, the presence of UK hotel brands is expected to increase, further strengthening the ties between the two countries and enhancing Vietnam’s hospitality offerings.
