Vietnam exported US$63.07 million worth of precious stones, precious metals, and related articles in November 2024, reflecting a notable month-on-month increase of 13.6 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Year-to-date exports in this category reached US$586.49 million, underscoring the sustained global demand for these products.
The United States retained its position as the largest market, importing US$21.97 million, a slight 0.16 percent rise from October. South Korea displayed the most significant growth, increasing its imports by 50.56 percent to US$5.82 million. Other notable markets included Hong Kong, with a 27.57 percent rise to US$4.95 million, and Belgium, which recorded a 50 percent increase to US$4.04 million. In contrast, Germany and the UK experienced declines of 6.19 percent and 52.89 percent, respectively.
Vietnam’s precious stone and metal exports continue to benefit from robust demand in developed markets while showcasing resilience amid global economic fluctuations.
