Vietnam’s exports of clinker and cement rise by 4.02 percent in December

Vietnam’s exports of clinker and cement increased by 4.02 percent in December compared to November, reaching US$86.12 million, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

Vietnam’s exports of clinker and cement total US$1.14 billion for 2024, reflecting strong demand in several key markets.

The month-on-month increase was driven by significant growth in exports to Australia, which saw a 762.92 percent rise, reaching US$4.48 million. Taiwan also showed substantial growth, with exports increasing by 141.40 percent, reaching US$6.85 million. Other markets such as Malaysia, Bangladesh, and Cambodia showed positive growth, with exports increasing by 24.54 percent, 11.01 percent, and 46.12 percent, respectively.

However, some markets experienced a decline. Exports to the Philippines and Peru saw reductions of 42.64 percent and 4.23 percent, respectively, while exports to Laos dropped by 13.57 percent.
