Vietnam’s exports of chemical products increased by 4.82 percent in December compared to November, reaching US$246.5 million, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Vietnam’s exports of chemical products total US$2.71 billion for 2024, reflecting a strong performance in the sector.
The month-on-month increase was driven by significant growth in exports to Laos, which saw a 70.19 percent rise, amounting to US$53.64 million. Exports to Cambodia and Japan also saw positive growth, increasing by 20.28 percent and 7.32 percent, respectively. Exports to the USA showed a 5.20 percent increase, reaching US$9.36 million.
However, some markets experienced a decline. Exports to China, Indonesia, and India dropped by 9.90 percent, 31.85 percent, and 7.55 percent, respectively, while exports to Thailand declined by 55.36 percent.
