Vietnam’s exports of animal fodders and materials fall 24.36 percent in January

Vietnam’s exports of animal fodders and animal fodder materials decreased by 24.36 percent month-on-month in January, reaching US$72.94 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This follows a decline from US$96.42 million recorded in December.

Year-to-date, Vietnam’s total exports of these materials stood at US$72.94 million. China remained the largest destination, receiving US$24.76 million, or 33.9 percent of the total, followed by Cambodia with US$10.40 million, representing 14.3 percent, and Malaysia with US$8.09 million.

Among major destinations, exports to Indonesia and South Korea recorded the highest month-on-month growth, increasing by 98.97 percent and 97.68 percent, respectively. Japan also saw a rise of 26.49 percent. In contrast, exports to Singapore, Taiwan, and the Philippines experienced significant declines of 61.18 percent, 32.42 percent, and 41.16 percent, respectively.

Vietnam’s animal fodder exports continue to be heavily reliant on China, which accounts for about a third of total exports. While Indonesia and South Korea showed strong growth, the overall decline from major markets such as Taiwan and the Philippines suggests shifting market trends.
