Vietnam’s imports of electric consumer products and parts increased by 31.33 percent month-on-month in February, reaching US$261.27 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This brings the total year-to-date imports to US$460.31 million.
Thailand remained Vietnam’s largest supplier, accounting for 45.98 percent of total imports, with shipments rising by 61.45 percent month-on-month to US$120.12 million. Malaysia also saw significant growth, with imports increasing by 56.54 percent to US$48.38 million. Meanwhile, imports from Indonesia recorded the most substantial jump, surging by 892.31 percent to US$12.03 million.
However, imports from China declined by 14.83 percent, totaling US$67.90 million, while Japan saw a notable decrease of 50.92 percent to US$1.14 million. These shifts reflect changing trade patterns in Vietnam’s electronics sector.
