Vietnam’s cotton imports decline by 13.41 percent in March

Vietnam’s imports of cotton totalled US$260.62 million in March 2025, reflecting a 13.41 percent decrease compared to February. Year-to-date (YTD) imports reached US$787.58 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

Imports from Brazil dropped by 40.87 percent to US$86.14 million, while imports from the USA increased by 25.44 percent, reaching US$130.08 million. Australia’s imports fell sharply by 61.55 percent, totalling US$8.31 million. On the other hand, imports from India grew by 27.42 percent to US$9.83 million, while imports from Argentina, Indonesia, and China saw significant declines.
