Vietnam’s cosmetics imports totalled US$116.07 million in October, showing a slight increase of 0.13 percent compared to September. Year-to-date imports reached US$1.17 billion.
China was the leading supplier, contributing US$14.81 million in October, an increase of 12.56 percent month-on-month. Singapore followed with US$32.59 million, though it saw a decline of 3.16 percent. South Korea, another major supplier, recorded an increase of 6.53 percent, reaching US$14.87 million.
Poland showed strong growth, with imports rising by 22.91 percent to US$1.26 million. Switzerland recorded the highest percentage growth among smaller suppliers, surging by 82.88 percent to US$0.81 million.
Conversely, imports from France dropped significantly by 24.62 percent to US$4.66 million. The Philippines saw the largest decrease, falling by 50.05 percent to US$0.02 million. Imports from Malaysia and Taiwan also declined, falling by 14.69 percent and 13.77 percent, respectively.
The stability in overall cosmetics imports reflects steady demand, with strong contributions from China, Singapore, and South Korea, despite notable declines from France and other secondary markets.
