Vietnam’s communication equipment manufacturing declined by 4.3 percent in December compared to November, according to Vietnam’s Industrial Production Index.
Year-on-year, the sector grew by 6.9 percent in December compared to December 2023. For the full year of 2024, cumulative growth reached 7.8 percent compared to 2023, highlighting consistent progress in this critical industry.
The December decline could be attributed to seasonal adjustments or temporary disruptions in production, but the strong year-on-year and annual growth indicate rising demand for communication equipment, both domestically and internationally. Vietnam’s role as a major player in global technology supply chains has supported this growth.
Communication equipment manufacturing is an essential component of Vietnam’s industrial sector, with the nation serving as a production hub for global tech firms. Increased investments in advanced manufacturing technologies and government policies supporting high-tech industries have further strengthened the sector’s capabilities.
The steady growth in 2024 underscores the industry’s importance to Vietnam’s technology-driven economic development.
