Vietnam’s chemicals exports rise by 7.52 percent in February 2025

Vietnam’s exports of chemicals increased by 7.52 percent in February 2025 compared to January, reaching US$236.49 million, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

Vietnam’s chemicals exports total US$449.71 million for 2025, reflecting continued demand despite some declines in key markets.

The growth in exports was primarily driven by a significant rise in shipments to Malaysia, which saw an increase of 313.93 percent, amounting to US$42.14 million. Exports to Taiwan also showed a strong increase of 81.87 percent. Additionally, exports to Canada rose by 145.76 percent.

However, some markets experienced a decline. Exports to China, India, and Japan decreased by 25.09 percent, 57.36 percent, and 15.44 percent, respectively. Exports to Myanmar and the Netherlands also saw declines of 60.01 percent and 71.85 percent.
