Vietnam’s cashew nut imports surge 45.15 percent in February 2025

Vietnam’s cashew nut imports rose by 45.15 percent month-on-month in February, reaching US$250.61 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This follows January’s total of US$172.66 million, reflecting a strong increase in import demand.

Year-to-date, total cashew nut imports have reached US$419.84 million, with Tanzania remaining the largest supplier. Imports from Tanzania accounted for 39.25 percent of the total, increasing by 11.16 percent. Cambodia recorded the most significant growth, surging 767.10 percent month-on-month to US$60.40 million, making up 24.10 percent of total imports.

However, imports from Ivory Coast and Indonesia declined, dropping by 20.13 percent and 23.38 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, imports from Nigeria increased by 37.46 percent, and Ghana saw a significant rise of 147.46 percent.
