Vietnam’s car production increases by 152.9% in February 2025

Vietnam’s car production has experienced significant growth in the first two months of 2025. According to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Office of Statistics, the country produced 37,800 cars in January 2025. In February, this figure slightly decreased to 36,900 thousand cars.

The cumulative total for the first two months of the year reached 74.8 thousand cars. This represents a 152.9 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Furthermore, the year-to-date figure reflects a 106.5 percent increase when compared to the first two months of 2024, indicating strong growth in the car manufacturing sector.

Car production continues to be an essential part of Vietnam’s growing automotive industry, with increasing demand both domestically and for export.

The main car production hubs in Vietnam are located in the northern and southern regions, particularly in areas like Hai Duong and Ho Chi Minh City, where major car manufacturers operate their assembly and production lines.
