Vietnam’s AI-powered e-commerce industry is on a meteoric rise, with the market value expected to increase from US$165.43 million in 2023 to US$1.74 billion by 2032, marking a compound annual growth rate of 30.8 percent, according to a report from Astute Analytica.
The report notes that the rapid adoption of AI technologies is reshaping the industry as businesses seek to enhance customer experiences, optimise operations, and gain a competitive edge. Vietnam’s young, tech-savvy population and the expanding digital economy have fuelled demand for innovative solutions, including personalised recommendations, chatbot-driven customer service, inventory management, and predictive analytics.
It goes on to point out that major players such as Tiki, Lazada Vietnam, and Shopee Vietnam are leading the charge, integrating AI to streamline platforms and improve consumer engagement. AI-driven personalisation has already boosted customer retention and sales conversions.
