ToggleVietnam imported soybeans to the tune of US$150 million in March, up from US$133 million in February, a change of 12.38 percent, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Year to date, Vietnam imported US$438 million worth of soybeans by the end of March.
Brazil accounted for US$65 million of Vietnam’s soybean imports in March, up from US$34 million in February, an increase of 91.26 percent, bringing its year-to-date total to US$133 million.
The United States followed with US$62 million in March, down from US$97 million in February, a decrease of 35.62 percent, with year-to-date shipments reaching US$258 million.
Canada recorded US$21 million in March, up from US$2 million in February, an increase of 1071.06 percent, taking its year-to-date total to US$27 million.
Cambodia contributed US$1 million in March, with no comparable February figure available, bringing its year-to-date total to US$2 million.
