Vietnam sees strong growth in professional, scientific, and technological FDI

In November, Vietnam’s professional, scientific, and technological activities sector registered 26 new projects with US$114 million in newly registered capital, Vietnam’s Ministry of Planning and Investment. This represents a 36.84 percent increase compared to October, which saw 19 new projects and US$57 million in newly registered capital.

Year-to-date (YTD), the sector has attracted a total of 332 new projects and US$1.02 billion in newly registered capital, reflecting significant investment in this area.

The professional, scientific, and technological activities sector is experiencing rapid growth, with foreign and local investments driven by the increasing demand for high-tech solutions, innovation, and research services in Vietnam. The sector plays a vital role in advancing Vietnam’s technological capabilities and competitiveness.

Key foreign firms in this sector in Vietnam include global technology companies like IBM, Microsoft, and Siemens, which have operations in the country, contributing to the growing demand for IT services, engineering, and scientific research.
