Vietnam retail sales for household goods maintain steady growth

Vietnam’s retail sales for utensils, tools, and household equipment continued to grow steadily in October, reflecting stable demand for essential household items, according to Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade data.

In September, sales in this category reached VND 43.09 trillion, equivalent to US$1.70 billion. By October, the figure rose to VND 43.51 trillion, or US$1.71 billion, marking a month-on-month growth of 0.97 percent.

Year-to-date, retail sales for utensils, tools, and household equipment totalled VND 405.13 trillion, or US$16 billion. This sustained performance highlights the sector’s importance in supporting Vietnam’s domestic retail market, driven by consistent consumer spending on household necessities.

The modest yet steady growth reflects the resilience of this sector, contributing to the overall strength of Vietnam’s retail landscape.
