Vietnam-Russia trade relations
Vietnam and Russia have longstanding trade relations dating back to the Soviet era, anchored in intergovernmental agreements on economic and technical cooperation signed in the 1980s and renewed after 1991.
Bilateral trade today is governed by the free trade agreement between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union, led by Russia, which entered into force in 2016 and reduced tariffs across goods and services.
