Vietnam exports to Germany in November hit US$663.96 million

Vietnam’s exports to Germany in November 2024 amounted to US$663.96 million, representing a month-on-month decline of 6.16 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This performance highlights changes in key sectors influenced by global market dynamics.

Year-to-date figures reflect a broader view, with exports to Germany totalling US$7.20 billion. This underscores Germany’s importance as one of Vietnam’s key trading partners, with significant contributions from machinery, textiles, and electronics.

Machinery and tools led November exports with a total of US$115.18 million but faced a month-on-month drop of 12.36 percent. Computers and electronic products showed stability, dipping only 0.09 percent to US$100.93 million. Footwear exports grew by 3.51 percent to US$78.30 million, while mobile phones experienced a sharp contraction of 42.42 percent, reaching US$44.37 million.

Textiles and garments contributed US$79.67 million, while coffee exports surged by 28.49 percent month-on-month to US$29.55 million. On the other hand, handbags declined 25.78 percent to US$16.53 million. Despite these fluctuations, Vietnam’s export landscape remains robust, showcasing its critical role in global supply chains.

Vietnam continues to adapt to shifting trade dynamics with resilience and strategic trade diversification.
