US tourist arrivals in Vietnam rise by 18.92 percent in November

Vietnam recorded 69,237 tourist arrivals from the United States in November, representing a month-on-month increase of 11,016 visitors or 18.92 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism.

Year-to-date, US tourist arrivals reached 706,000, marking a 16.5 percent growth compared to the same period last year. The United States continues to be one of Vietnam’s key long-haul tourism markets, reflecting the increasing interest of American travellers in Vietnam’s cultural and natural attractions.

US visitors often explore iconic destinations such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Halong Bay, as well as beach resorts in Danang and Phu Quoc. Culinary experiences, historical landmarks, and eco-tourism activities also contribute to Vietnam’s popularity among American tourists.

Direct flights operated by carriers like Vietnam Airlines and United Airlines between San Francisco and Ho Chi Minh City have significantly boosted connectivity, alongside various connecting routes through hubs like Tokyo and Seoul.

The steady increase in arrivals from the United States underscores Vietnam’s appeal as a long-haul destination for cultural, leisure, and business travel, supported by improved air connectivity and promotional efforts.
