Italian tourist arrivals in Vietnam surge by 87.5 percent in November

Vietnam welcomed 10,723 tourists from Italy in November, a significant month-on-month increase of 5,004 visitors or 87.5 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism.

Year-to-date, Italian arrivals reached 80,692, reflecting a robust 79.2 percent growth compared to the same period last year. Italy remains a growing market for Vietnam’s tourism sector, showcasing the rising appeal of the country among European travellers.

Italian tourists are drawn to Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage, exploring destinations such as Hanoi, Hoi An, and Hue. Natural attractions, including Halong Bay and Phong Nha-Ke Bang, as well as the pristine beaches of Phu Quoc and Nha Trang, are also popular among Italian visitors.

While there are no direct flights between Vietnam and Italy, airlines such as Qatar Airways, Emirates, and Vietnam Airlines offer convenient connecting routes via hubs in Doha and Dubai. These connections have been crucial in facilitating the increase in Italian arrivals.

The exceptional growth in Italian tourist numbers highlights Vietnam’s successful promotion in European markets and its appeal as a diverse and vibrant travel destination.
