Tourism: Vietnam attracts 87,242 visitors from the Americas in July

Vietnam welcomed 87,242 visitors from the Americas in July 2025, slightly higher than June’s 85,919, according to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism.

Arrivals from the region reached 670,028 in the first seven months of 2025, up 18.8 percent compared with the same period in 2024.

The United States remained the dominant source market, contributing 72,509 visitors in July and 521,641 over the January–July period.

Canada followed with 10,003 arrivals in July and 103,003 year-to-date.

Other countries in the Americas accounted for 4,730 visitors in July, bringing the seven-month total to 45,384.

Growth was led by Canada with a 47.9 percent year-on-year increase in July, while arrivals from the US grew 15.3 percent and other American countries 26.3 percent.

Year-to-date growth was also strong, ranging from 9.1 percent for the US to 112.3 percent for Canada.

While absolute volumes from the Americas remain far smaller than Asian markets, the steady expansion underscores rising long-haul demand, particularly from the US and Canada, where improved connectivity and Vietnam’s promotion campaigns are boosting inflows.
