Vietnam received 285,526 European visitors in March, up 19.1 percent from February, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism. Year-to-date arrivals reached 791,872, a 19.6 percent increase compared to the first quarter of 2024, marking a significant boost to Vietnam’s tourism industry.
Country highlights:
- France led the European market with 39,370 visitors in March, up 12.4 percent from February and 25.4 percent year-on-year.
- Russia posted the strongest growth, surging 122 percent year-on-year and 25 percent month-on-month, reaching 45,639 arrivals.
- The United Kingdom and Germany also performed strongly with steady growth both monthly and year-on-year.
- Other Europe saw a major jump of 91.7 percent month-on-month, contributing over 69,000 arrivals.
- Norway, Poland, and Sweden were among the few markets to record notable declines from the previous month.
Notably, Europe remains a robust long-haul source market for Vietnam, with strong performance from France, Russia, and the United Kingdom. The broad-based recovery reflects improving connectivity and sustained travel demand despite isolated dips from Nordic markets.
