Despite the overall month-on-month decrease, several countries remain vital suppliers to Vietnam, with the year-to-date total for this product category standing at $1,581,590,924.
In June 2025, the top five sources by dollar value for Vietnam’s imports of fishery products were:
India
India emerged as the top supplier in June, with import values reaching $45,868,785.
This represents a 17.76 percent month-on-month change from May.
India’s year-to-date total for these imports stands at $235,774,802, accounting for 14.91 percent of all YTD imports in this category.
Indonesia
Indonesia followed as the second-largest source, with June imports valued at $33,129,999.
This figure indicates a -14.67 percent month-on-month change.
Indonesia’s year-to-date total for these imports is $234,625,384, representing 14.83 percent of the total YTD imports for this product category.
Norway
Norway secured the third position in June with imports totaling $32,440,073.
This indicates an 11.97 percent month-on-month change.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s imports of fishery products is $175,253,691, making up 11.08 percent of the total YTD imports.
Japan
Japan contributed $25,032,978 worth of fishery products in June.
Notably, Japan experienced an 8.06 percent month-on-month increase.
Japan’s year-to-date total for these imports is $122,622,568, accounting for 7.75 percent of the total YTD imports for this product.
China
China rounded out the top five import sources with $19,760,516 in June imports.
This country saw a -3.79 percent month-on-month decrease.
China’s year-to-date total for these imports is $135,802,681, representing 8.59 percent of the total YTD imports for this category.
