Vietnam’s exports to Singapore reached US$533.72 million in July, down 1.43 percent from June, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Year-to-date exports stood at US$3.39 billion, with electronics, machinery, and transport equipment leading the flow.
Computers and electrical products rose 14.29 percent to US$155.18 million, while machinery exports increased 6.30 percent to US$81.60 million.
Transport parts grew 7.28 percent to US$79.92 million, reflecting strong demand in Singapore’s re-export hub. Glassware declined 6.67 percent to US$51.33 million, and phones plunged 61.02 percent to US$32.79 million.
Agricultural and consumer exports were mixed.
Textiles surged 64.49 percent to US$11.91 million, while footwear and fishery products fell by double digits. Rice exports dropped 24.92 percent to US$5.17 million, while fruits, vegetables, and wood products recorded double-digit gains.
Crude oil shipments reappeared at US$19.47 million.
The data highlights Singapore’s role as a key hub for Vietnam’s high-value industrial exports, with electronics and machinery making up more than half of shipments.
Agricultural and consumer goods remain secondary but volatile, reflecting shifting trade demand in the regional gateway.
