Vietnam’s imports of rubber products reached US$102.14 million in April 2025, according to figures released by Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This represents a slight decrease of 1.68 percent compared to March, with a year-to-date (YTD) import value of US$376.73 million.
China remains the dominant supplier despite a minor decrease:
China was the leading supplier of rubber products to Vietnam in April, with imports valued at US$53.19 million. This marks a slight decrease of 3.39 percent from March but still accounts for a commanding 51.25 percent of the total year-to-date imports.
Japan sees a decrease but remains a key supplier:
Japan was the second-largest supplier in April, with imports valued at US$11.05 million, a decrease of 10.48 percent from the previous month. Japan accounts for 11.30 percent of the year-to-date imports.
South Korea records a marginal increase:
Imports from South Korea experienced a slight increase of 2.45 percent in April, reaching US$9.12 million. South Korea accounts for 9.22 percent of the year-to-date imports.
Thailand sees a moderate increase:
Imports from Thailand rose by 6.69 percent in April, reaching US$8.99 million, contributing 8.36 percent to the year-to-date total.
Significant month-on-month increases and decreases:
Germany experienced the largest month-on-month increase at 23.66 percent, followed by Italy and Indonesia. Conversely, India experienced the most significant decrease at 40.54 percent, followed by the USA and the Philippines.
