The State Bank of Vietnam’s central exchange rate was unchanged at VND 25,101 per US dollar on Monday, but the black market buy rate rose slightly to VND 27,240 per US dollar, according to Ty Gia USD.
Conversely, the sell rate dropped to VND 27,340 per US dollar, narrowing the mid-market to VND 27,290 per US dollar.
The spread between the SBV and black-market mid-market rate subsequently narrowed by 20 dong to VND 2,189 or 8.72 percent.
The Google Finance mid-market rate was steady at around VND 26,348 per US dollar, falling by just one dong.

Issuances of 7-day repos declined sharply to US$75.91 million from US$189.76 million.
Fourteen-day repos were stable at about US$37.95 million, as were 28-day repos at US$113.86 million and 91-day repos near US$37.93 million.
No treasury bill operations were conducted.

Interbank rates
The overnight interbank rate rose to 5.75 percent from 5.00 percent, up 0.75 points or 15 percent.
The one-week rate climbed to 5.72 percent, a gain of 0.45 points.
Two-week rates rose 0.59 points to 5.80 percent, while the one-month tenor edged up 0.09 points to 5.46 percent.
Three-month rates increased 0.21 points to 5.79 percent, and six-month rates were unchanged at 5.83 percent.
The nine-month tenor posted the sharpest rise, up 0.80 points to 6.00 percent.
