Vietnam’s imports of milk and milk products reached US$111.38 million in April 2025, according to figures released by Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This represents a slight 2.50 percent decrease compared to the import value in March, with a year-to-date import value of US$451.94 million for this category.
New Zealand remains the top supplier despite a decrease:
New Zealand was the leading supplier of milk and milk products to Vietnam in April, with imports valued at US$35.29 million. This marks a 12.97 percent decrease from March but still accounts for a significant 35.60 percent of the total year-to-date imports.
USA sees a substantial increase:
Imports from the USA experienced a significant surge of 47.89 percent in April, reaching US$9.91 million. The USA accounts for 6.48 percent of the year-to-date imports.
Germany records a massive increase:
Germany saw an extraordinary increase of 199.16 percent in April, with imports valued at US$8.87 million. Germany accounts for 4.36 percent of the year-to-date imports.
Australia maintains a strong position with growth:
Imports from Australia rose by 14.18 percent in April, reaching US$8.26 million, contributing 10.71 percent to the year-to-date total.
Significant month-on-month increases and decreases:
Lithuania experienced the largest month-on-month increase at 209.51 percent, although its overall import value is lower. France and Poland also saw substantial rises. Conversely, Ireland experienced the most significant decrease at 84.61 percent, followed by Thailand at 39.75 percent and Singapore at 32.10 percent. Imports from Armenia, which were absent in March, resumed in April, while imports from the Philippines ceased entirely.
