Despite the marginal month-on-month decrease, several countries remain vital destinations for Vietnam’s exports, with the year-to-date total for this product category standing at $2,195,606,214.
In June 2025, the top five destinations by dollar value for Vietnam’s exports of luggage, headgear and umbrellas were:
USA
The USA emerged as the top destination in June, with export values reaching $182,077,426.
This represents a 2.37 percent month-on-month change from May.
The USA’s year-to-date total for these exports stands at $938,726,170, accounting for 42.75 percent of all YTD exports in this category.
Japan
Japan followed as the second-largest destination, with June exports valued at $38,618,119.
This figure indicates a 20.64 percent month-on-month change.
Japan’s year-to-date total for these exports is $209,481,282, representing 9.54 percent of the total YTD exports for this product category.
Netherlands
The Netherlands secured the third position in June with exports totaling $23,113,922.
This indicates a -24.77 percent month-on-month change.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s exports of luggage, headgear and umbrellas is $151,339,870, making up 6.89 percent of the total YTD exports.
China
China contributed $17,877,476 worth of luggage, headgear and umbrellas in June.
Notably, China experienced a 5.52 percent month-on-month increase.
China’s year-to-date total for these exports is $75,824,914, accounting for 3.45 percent of the total YTD exports for this product.
Canada
Canada rounded out the top five export destinations with $17,378,492 in June exports.
This country saw a -2.44 percent month-on-month decrease.
Canada’s year-to-date total for these exports is $91,276,148, representing 4.16 percent of the total YTD exports for this category.
