Vietnam’s exports of plastic products saw an increase in July 2025, reaching $660,214,722, a 6.01 percent increase compared to June 2025, according to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
This positive month-on-month growth contributed to a year-to-date total for this product category, standing at $4,259,236,763.
In July 2025, the top five destinations by dollar value for Vietnam’s exports of plastic products were:
USA
The USA was the top destination in July, with export values reaching $350,061,686.
This represents a 9.69 percent month-on-month increase from June.
The USA’s year-to-date total for these exports stands at $2,130,880,442, accounting for 50.03 percent of all YTD exports in this category.
Japan
Japan followed as the second-largest destination, with July exports valued at $61,346,555.
This figure indicates a 5.90 percent month-on-month increase.
Japan’s year-to-date total for these exports is $429,362,329, representing 10.08 percent of the total YTD exports for this product category.
South Korea
South Korea secured the third position in July with exports totaling $26,345,234.
This indicates a 5.20 percent month-on-month increase.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s exports of plastic products is $167,928,482, making up 3.94 percent of the total YTD exports.
India
India contributed $24,396,439 worth of these products in July.
Notably, India experienced a -6.46 percent month-on-month decrease.
India’s year-to-date total for these exports is $166,215,630, accounting for 3.90 percent of the total YTD exports for this product.
China
China rounded out the top five export destinations with $16,924,990 in July exports.
This country saw a -1.92 percent month-on-month decrease.
China’s year-to-date total for these exports is $108,447,090, representing 2.55 percent of the total YTD exports for this category.
