Vietnam’s imports of insecticides, rodenticides, and related materials reached US$99.99 million in April 2025, according to figures released by Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This represents a marginal 2.06 percent increase compared to the import value in March, with a year-to-date import value of US$341.64 million for this category.
China remains the dominant supplier with modest growth:
China was the leading supplier in April, with imports valued at US$47.04 million. This marks a 6.53 percent increase from March and accounts for a significant 44.66 percent of the total year-to-date imports.
South Korea sees a substantial increase:
Imports from South Korea experienced a significant surge of 110.65 percent in April, reaching US$11.65 million. Their year-to-date contribution stands at 8.91 percent.
India experiences a notable decrease:
Imports from India saw a substantial decrease of 40.16 percent in April, falling to US$9.28 million. India accounts for 13.47 percent of the year-to-date imports.
Germany and Japan see significant increases:
Germany recorded a strong increase of 67.61 percent in April, with imports valued at US$6.62 million. Japan also saw a significant rise of 54.01 percent, reaching US$6.60 million.
Significant month-on-month decreases:
Indonesia experienced the largest month-on-month decrease at 78.43 percent. Singapore also saw a substantial drop of 39.44 percent, and Taiwan’s imports decreased by 43.49 percent. Switzerland saw a complete cessation of imports in April.
