This positive month-on-month growth contributed to a year-to-date total for this product category, standing at $4,611,074,637.

China
China was the top origin in July, with import values reaching $313,835,081.
This represents a -0.47 percent month-on-month decrease from June.
China’s year-to-date total for these imports stands at $2,063,969,713, accounting for 44.76 percent of all YTD imports in this category.
Taiwan
Taiwan followed as the second-largest origin, with July imports valued at $54,305,783.
This figure indicates a -2.47 percent month-on-month decrease.
Taiwan’s year-to-date total for these imports is $373,925,899, representing 8.11 percent of the total YTD imports for this product category.
Malaysia
Malaysia secured the third position in July with imports totaling $49,126,000.
This indicates a 5.61 percent month-on-month increase.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s imports of Chemicals is $288,463,607, making up 6.26 percent of the total YTD imports.
Japan
Japan contributed $44,421,568 worth of chemicals in July.
Notably, Japan experienced a 16.92 percent month-on-month increase.
Japan’s year-to-date total for these imports is $288,412,376, accounting for 6.25 percent of the total YTD imports for this product.
South Korea
South Korea rounded out the top five import origins with $41,440,957 in July imports.
This country saw a 27.45 percent month-on-month increase.
South Korea’s year-to-date total for these imports is $246,524,237, representing 5.35 percent of the total YTD imports for this category.
